Hayden McIntyre

Hayden McIntyre represents the Piru Basin Pumpers Association and serves as Chief Operating Officer and President of the Northern Division of Sierra Pacific Farms. A third-generation California farm manager, he combines hands-on experience in citrus and avocado production with a business administration degree from National University. Hayden’s agricultural roots extend through his grandfather, Sam McIntyre, and his father, Scott McIntyre. Sam helped build the farm management business that became Somis Pacific, while Scott established Sierra Pacific Farms under his ownership in 1988 and expanded the family’s avocado operations. Hayden began working in the family business at age 16, gaining firsthand experience in orchard care and farm management. Today, Hayden brings together field operations, financial management, and agricultural technology to support productive, efficient ranches. His work includes precision irrigation, water conservation, and trials of new growing methods, including trellised avocado production. His past industry and community service includes serving as a Committee Member on the County of Ventura Waterworks District No. 19 Citizens’ Advisory Committee, a Board Member of the California Avocado Society, and a District 4 Producer Alternate for the California Avocado Commission. These roles reflect his longstanding involvement in water issues, grower education, and California agriculture. Outside of work, Hayden enjoys spending time with his Family wife Brooke McIntyre and kids Reagan, Adeline ,and Samuel.
